V. HEC DPSSL5th Workshop "High Energy Class Diode Pumped Solid State Lasers"

The 5th workshop on High Energy Class Diode Pumped Solid State Lasers takes place in Dresden from June 10th to June 12th 2009. The workshop is organized by the Institute for Radiation Physics, headed by Prof. T.E. Cowan, in cooperation with the POLARIS group at the IOQ of the University Jena. It is hosted by the Laser-Particle Acceleration Group headed by PD Dr. U Schramm.
In 2008 The Laser-Particle Acceleration Group has put in operation the new, 150 TW, 25 fs High-Power Laser DRACO located close to the High-Brilliance Electron Accelerator ELBE to pursue laser-driven ion and electron acceleration and generation of brilliant x-ray beams. To extend the laser program of the FZD a new diode pumped high energy laser system will be developed.
To accompany its laser program the FZD welcomes the leading scientists and engineers on the field of high energy diode pumped lasers to have three days of interesting talks, discussions and exchanges on that field.
